Hello there, my name is Sophia Gallo. I enjoy long walks on the beach and dinners by candlelight. My ideal date would be dinner at fancy restaurant followed by an evening of gazing up at the stars. I’m looking for a man who is not afraid of commitment and makes me laugh.
Pretty much every aforementioned statement is not true. Well, except for the name. That part is actually legitimate … the last time I checked, anyway. As a sophomore, this is my first year as a staff writer for The Central Voice. Besides doing the newspaper, I am a member of the varsity cheerleading squad, Student Council, Student Ambassadors, and the International Thespian Society.
Hey you. How are you on this fine day? Hopefully you’re doing super duper! :) My name is Ally and it seems you’ve decided to see how awesome I am. The end.
I am Andrew Tarcza, one of the staff writers for the 2011-2012 edition of the school newspaper. I spent last year as a freshman: trying to find out what is cool and what is not, finding my way around the school, and all the other stereotypical freshman business. But besides all the “new to the school” business, I spent most of winter playing soccer for the school soccer team.
I’m Cameron Soltau. Like “salt” on your “toe.” First year on the Journalism team and I’d say I’m slightly, if not completely, terrified. Still, I am having an enormous amount of fun. I have done many great things in my life. I have once defused three bombs… at the same time, I saved four drowning people from a burning building, I have set the world record for most times struck by lightning, and I hope to make the varsity tennis team this season. Hopefully Editor-in-Chief will be added to that list of amazing feats.
I am Xavier “Xavi” Pereda, a staff writer for The Central Voice for the 2011-2012 school year. I’m a well-rounded student, excelling particularly in the literary arts department. I hope to obtain a leadership role within the school paper. Along with the newspaper, I participate in a number of different clubs and sports. My favorites include Wrestling, International Club, Key Club, Spanish Club, and the Student Council.
You may know me as “Sarah’s sister,” the girl who speaks faster than registered speed limits, or the soon-to-be professional in napping. But here, I am simply Abbie Milne, staff writer for the Central Voice. As a junior, this is my first year in journalism, so I hope to amusingly inform you on anything from school, the latest pop culture takeover, or whatever you choose to utilize your brewing procrastination. After all, learning about the lives of students beats Nicki Minaj any day, so feel free to enjoy these entertaining articles.
Talented. Eccentric. Dominant. Those are only a few of the many wonderful words to describe myself. I enjoy the finer things in life. When I am not reading by candlelight, you can find me taking long moonlit strolls along the beach. Besides that, you may find me anywhere in the vicinity of a baseball field. That is my interesting self in a nutshell. You are welcome.
My name is Ben Kieler, and I am a staff writer for The Central Voice. I am currently a junior at Clearwater Central Catholic High School, and this is my first year writing for the school’s newspaper. I participate in two varsity sports which are track and field and basketball. I enjoy watching television shows such as Spongebob and Sportscenter, and I also enjoy eating toast in the morning while I watch Spongebob. I also enjoy going to movies with people and getting good grades. Along with my two sports, I am also a member of the Spanish Honors Society.
I am fresher than febreeze. I am more fetch than a dog toy. I eat happy meals when I am sad. I pretend I am a mermaid. I enjoy long, romantic walks to the refrigerator. I am Emily Benko. Enough said.
My name is Philip Pytak and I love reading and writing, which would explain why I love The Central Voice so much. I’m a staff writer for the paper and a sophomore. For no reason, every day I stand outside my house and use my devil sticks. Devil sticks are two sticks you use to spin a larger stick, in case you didn’t know. I spin for practice and just for fun outside, where I can relax after school. I’m very excited and happy to write for The Central Voice.
Just a simple sophomore, not some kind of secret agent or anything cool like that. This is my first year in Journalism and it’s pretty fun. I play soccer for school as well as a club, and I work at Coldstone. I’m pretty much in love with soccer and I haven’t gotten hurt in my 11 years of playing, that’s pretty impressive, and now I hope that I didn’t just jinx myself by saying that.
I am a staff writer for The Central Voice newspaper, the print and online editions, for the 2011-2012 school year. This is my first year writing for a newspaper and I’m very excited about it. Besides working on the newspaper, I swim for the CCC girl’s swim team, which I enjoy very much.
Matt Ruppel here. Writing for The Central Voice has opened my eyes to not start an introduction with a cliché such as “Hi!” The Staff Writer in me likes to start off an article with a quirky opening line, just like the one you just read. Hehe. All jokes aside, I enjoy guitar playing and watching movies. Another one of my favorite things to do is go to the home football games. The atmosphere couldn’t be any better than in a home football game. That’s me in a nut graf!
My name’s Stephanie. This is my third year being on the newspaper staff. You may recognize me, but if you don’t know what I look like, it’s probably because you look over my head in the halls. I’m quite tiny. I might as well crawl, I guess, but I digress. (Some rhyming action for you—I’m a multi-faceted woman.) I like to sing and generally be obnoxious. I’ve actually been told that my laugh can shatter glass…But I can’t help who I am. I judge people with poor grammar, and I tend to ramble, so if I get cut off–
Hi, I’m Andy Maher. I’m the resident hipster on staff. I like the sound of the crackling on vinyl records and anything by Jack Kerouac. My dream job would be to write for Rolling Stone Magazine. So, in summary, I’m a pretty chill guy with a wild side. Get to know me… I’m sorry, that came off incredibly cheesy, but seriously, I’m awesome.
Well hello there… My name, currently (all things are subject to change… remember that), is Michael. This is my third year in Journalism and my first year as Editor-in-Chief. Isn’t that exciting? I enjoy the little things in life and I like to think of myself as “witty” if you will. Many people would disagree, but it’s all a matter of opinion, I suppose. Just the other day my mother told me they always knew I was “a special one”… even when I was a baby. Make of that what you will. I find mispronunciations funny, grammatical mistakes actually make me physically uncomfortable and I must eat my Goldfish in multiples of two. Welcome to my life…
This is my fifth year as the adviser of The Central Voice and my seventh year teaching at CCC. Journalism was among my many majors at the University of Florida along with agriculture, English, and public relations. I was lucky enough to contribute to the Independent Florida Alligator newspaper in Gainesville as a sports beat writer, an experience that definitely had its perks. As a Florida certified journalism teacher, CSPA and JEA member, and an all-around journalism fan, I’m lucky to be a part of CCC’s journalism program. I am incredibly proud of every journalism student who has worked so hard to make our newspaper an outstanding publication. Their dedication and passion is inspiring.
