Flashback to a time not too long ago. It is the 2003-2004 school year. Spurred on by the success of the Livestrong bracelet, different companies make their own versions of the infamous bracelets. Now the new trend in school at the time is these new bracelets that looked fashionable and also showed your support for any type of organization. This could be the case again in our school if the breast cancer awareness bracelets spur on a popularity jump.
This trend first started in the ‘80s when the first jelly bracelets were made, but the bracelets quickly fell out of public spotlight. The jelly bracelets we know about are quite modern, though, with the popularity boom beginning in 2004. But as time went on, these bracelets fell out of the public’s eye again in favor of new trends like silly bands.
Various organizations could bring these bracelets back into the public’s eye. The most close to home organization using these bracelets are the cheerleaders. The cheerleaders are using jelly bracelets for their breast cancer awareness bracelets.

I remember I used to wear those kinds of bracelets in 4th grade.
