New club puts unique “SPiN” on athletics

Usually the sports and clubs that are heard about are football, baseball and soccer, but what about ping-pong? SPiN is a new ping-pong club in St. Petersburg that soon will open.

SPiN is a social club that just so happens to incorporate ping -pong.  They allow people to book events, buy ping-pong equipment and book ping-pong tables with a membership.

SPiN isn’t open yet though.  It will open this summer and people will be able to get memberships and be part of the club.  Ping-pong players at this club play each other and go up in their rankings to compete for some type of reward.

This club is serious about their ping-pong.  One of their own players is traveling to China to play against one of China’s best players.  People who want to improve their ping-pong skills should definitely check this club out; it might be worth it.

I agree with Stephanie and Carter on their comments. Ping-pong is a great activity and I think a club at CCC should be formed. Tournaments could even happen at CCC to help raise money for charities or something. Go Ping-Pong!

I think it’s a good idea. It allows for people to socialize among people with similar interests. It doesn’t take much athletic skill to play ping pong, so everyone can play.

I think a ping pong club is a really neat idea. I’ve never heard of one around this area and it seems like a fun way to get people involved and finding new activities. I think it will be something fun and different to do with friends.
