Red Hot Chili Pepper release album with new guitarist

September 29, 2011

With the help of a new guitarist, the Red Hot Chili Peppers plan to rein as the chart kings once again, releasing their tenth studio album, I’m With You.

The album features 14 fresh tracks, each with their own unique sound.

Lead bassist Flea is the most enjoyable part of this album, creating a bass line for each song that would make even the great Sir Paul McCartney envious.  “The Adventures of Raindance Maggie” showcases Flea’s bass playing abilities, and offers endless head-bobbing sessions.

The other peppers are extremely talented but don’t stack up to Flea’s abilities.   The lead vocals on this album, done by Anthony Kiedis are enjoyable, and really stand out on “Annie Wants a Baby”.  Chad Smith on the drums gives personality to the percussions, unlike many other modern drummers.

Newcomer Josh Klinghoffer does a superb job on the album, following in the footsteps of the band’s previous guitarist, John Frusicante. At times, Klinghoffer’s riffs are very reminiscent of Frusicante’s and bring back the original Red Hot Chili Pepper vibe that Frusciante brought.

“The Adventures of Raindance Maggie” showcases Flea’s bass playing abilities, and offers endless head-bobbing sessions. Since his departure from the band, Frusciante hasn’t attached to one band in particular, but he has done collaborations, with musicians such as the Speed Dealer Moms and Swahili Blonde.

The album is currently out in a store near you.  Don’t wait for this one to go on sale.  I’m With You is a must have.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been one of my favorite bands for a while. It doesn’t really affect me that they got a new guitarist because I think they sound good no matter what. I found this article interesting though because I enjoy keeping up with music updates.

I don’t think they would just let anybody be their guitarist but I feelas long as this new guitarist can play the right chords then it shouldnt be an issue

I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers but haven’t heard any songs off their new album. I hope they are as good as their classics. My favorite song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers is Hump De Bump. The bass in it is groovy. No matter what guitarist there is the Red Hot Chili Peppers will still be RED HOT!

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are awesome. They would have been even better if they got Andy Maher in the band instead.
